Cingular to be exclusive iPhone distributor - by Rick Roberts - www.daelectronics.com

My cell provider, Cingular, is claiming to have an exclusive on the iPhone once its released. I don’t believe it, but none the less I want one. If you haven’t heard the iPhone is the newest of electronic gadgets to be released this year that will combine a revolutionary mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and a breakthrough Internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching — into one small and lightweight handheld device.

Here are some specs from Apple’s website about the iPhone:

    Technical Specifications:

    Screen size 3.5 inches

Screen resolution 320 by 480 at 160 ppi

    Input method Multi-touch

    Operating system OS X

    Storage 4GB or 8GB

    GSM Quad-band (MHz: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)

    Wireless data Wi-Fi (802.11b/g) + EDGE + Bluetooth 2.0

    Camera 2.0 megapixels

Battery Up to 5 hours Talk / Video / Browsing

Up to 16 hours Audio playback

    Dimensions 4.5 x 2.4 x 0.46 inches / 115 x 61 x 11.6mm

    Weight 4.8 ounces / 135 grams

The estimated retail price for this cool tool are speculated at being $249 for the 4GB model and $499 for the 8GB model. Of course the speculated price doesn’t include any promo that Cingular may be doing to get new subscribers to come on board. If Apple does make the iPhone exclusive to Cingular then I feel it will hurt the sales of the units. I mean heck Cingular may good and all but just like any other cell provider, there are some places their service isn’t available or doesn’t work properly, SW Virginia comes to mind.

Anyway, whether the iPhone is exclusive to Cingular or not I predict it will sell a million units within 90 days of its release. I know I will be saving up for one. How about you?

Can an iphone be unlocked? Yes an iphone can be unlocked to take any network sim card. However this will depend on the version of iphone you own. Some versions of iphone can be unlocked via a software change, some require a hardware solution.,How can it be done? The first thing you need to do is establish what version of iphone you have. This can be done by going to www.iphoneunlocking.co.uk and watching the videos on the website which will show you how to know which version of iphone you have
Can this unlock be done myself from home? There are 3 different unlock methods there is a software hardware and testpoint unlock. The software and hardware unlocks can be done by yourself if you have a very good guide on how to do it. The test point method is very complex and should only be done by very experienced mobile phone technicians
What is the best website for unlocking my iphone? There are many people selling unlock guides online and the vast majority are both dangerous and a blatant rip off! People are selling a pdf or word document which shows out dated methods that do not work and can damage the iphone. There are even websites that look like professional sites that are being cloned to exploit this. We strongly recommend you go to the www.iphoneunlocking.co.uk because this company is owned by phonezone who are a 10 year trading history as an official nokia and samsung service centre. They are absolute experts in the field and are a genuine company. Their website not only provides unlock solutions but also fantastic step by step training videos, they also repair iphones so they offer the complete service. Don’t be fooled by the promise of cheap ebooks and tutorials because these simply do not work and they cannot be trusted as to what source they come from especially when they are sold on auction sites. With phonezone they have a high street premises and can be called on the telephone during normal working hours, this is something 99% of the unlocking websites cannot and do not offer.,I think my phone is broken can it be repaired? Yes like we said earlier phonezone who own iphone unlocking are also a repair centre so they will be able to repair your handset.,If you would like more information on unlocking or repairing your iphone simply click on this link......................
