Creative Technology Ltd. just went into an agreement with Apple Computer Inc. It is now foreseeing that with the kind of agreement that it has with Apple, their sales for the last quarter of this year would experience an increase. The agreement allowed Creative to make accessories for the iPod. Both companies are trusted when it comes to audio devices. Creative is based in Singapore and is the creator of Nomad and Zen MP3 players. As per Apple, it is the company that crafts the iPod and all accessories related to the device.
Craig McHugh is the president for Creative Labs Inc., which is the company’s arm in the United States. He comments, “It gives Creative a dramatically larger market than what we have today - we see the combined Zen and iPod markets as a huge revenue opportunity. We expect to see new sales into this market contributing to the quarter.”
As per the agreement, McHuge further estimates that Creative would be able to create iPod accessories for over 50 million users of iPod around the globe. Along with that, it would also be creating products for its Zen products. All these would surely be translating to huge amounts of income for the company. Creative would be doing its own design for the products associated with the iPod player - from iPod speakers, to earphones, and even headphones.
